Be
punctual.
ALWAYS
be seated in class by no later than 9:40 am, so we can get started quickly.
ALWAYS sign-in. If you come in late, and the sign-in sheet has already gone
around the room, you are not allowed to sign it, and you will be counted
Absent. If you come to class on time, but don't sign-in, you will also be
counted Absent.
Be
prepared.
ALWAYS
bring printed samples of your work-in-progress to class, especially if the
Schedule says we are doing a Critique that day. Do not wait until 9:30 am the
day of class to print something out. That's already too late and wastes a lot
of time. You can print work during lab sessions or open lab, in the 4th floor
labs, the 3rd floor labs, at home (if you have a printer), Kinko's, and many
other places.
ALWAYS
read all assigned readings before we are scheduled to discuss them, in class.
Always come to class prepared with discussion questions.
Be
safe.
ALWAYS
save a copy of your work-in-progress to your Flash Drive or other portable
storage media device. We will have a Classes Folder, but you can't depend on it
entirely. Anything saved anywhere on a school computer network (or any other
computer) is vulnerable to disappearing or getting damaged. Always be sure that
you save a copy of anything you've done -- that you don't want to redo -- in
more than one place. (Example: Flash Drive AND home computer; or Flash Drive
AND Classes Folder.)
